The history of our company began in the 1970s when Piet de Vries and his partner decided to start mowing reed on a small scale. This was mainly done by hand. At the end of the 1980s, Gerrit-Jan, Piet's son, was responsible for creating the company's first caterpillar machine. Since then manual labour has largely become a thing of the past. The converted PistenBully proved to be a godsend and was used, among other things, to mow the grasslands on the beautiful island of Vlieland. Gerrit-Jan has been at the helm of the company for 18 years now, together with Sjoukje.

Over the years we have become the biggest company in this sector. We currently offer reed mowing and trading, nature maintenance and machine building for our own use as well as for external customers.
