"We specialise in working on fragile soils".
One of our specialities is botanical mowing management. Thanks to a variety of machinery, we are able to work on all kinds of natural areas, blue grasslands and wetland meadows.
Many wet pastures need mowing management to keep the vegetation short and open and to drain nutrients. During mowing and subsequent cuttings removal, it is important that the mowing equipment and methods are adapted to the load-carrying capacity of the fragile soil structure. That is why nowadays specially made caterpillar mowers are widely used for this.
"Low ground pressure from just 60 g/cm2"
Mowing is done in two phases. In the first phase, a caterpillar mower mows the vegetation, leaving it on the ground in swaths. In the second phase, the cuttings are collected, chopped and transported for disposal or further processing. The mowed cuttings can be transported over longer distances thanks to the intermediate trailers developed in-house. In this case, the loader wagons are emptied into the intermediate trailers at the edges of the plots.
Thanks to the caterpillar tracks, the ground pressure exerted by our machines is from just 60 g/cm2. As the caterpillar tracks are completely circular, they do not cause any damage to the landscape when tilting. The wheel support is located in the middle of the caterpillar tracks so that they follow the terrain.
"With our disc mowers we can also mow areas with light woodshed".
The caterpillar mowers are equipped with disc mowers that follow the ground and thus preserve the original landscape. This also makes it possible to mow areas with light woodshed. If the edges of the ditch need to be mowed as well, the mowers extend sideways at an angle of half a metre. In addition to disc mowers, the caterpillar mowers can also be equipped with a Busatis double-knife cutter bar. This allows mowing even when the area is under water. The mowers can be replaced on site, so that the appropriate technology can always be used.
"Chopping with a cutting length from 14mm".
In addition to the 2-phase system, we also have machines for full-field use on large areas, for mulching or chopping. When chopping we can cut the vegetation down to 14 mm so that it can be optimally processed or scattered. And all this, of course, with low ground pressure thanks to our caterpillar tracks. As a further option, we offer baling with the appropriate caterpillar vehicle. Find out more about the different types of machinery we have.
