"Low ground pressure from just 65 g/cm²"
During wood harvesting various machines are used, including the swamp excavator, the woodchipper and the wood crane with high tipper. All machines stand on caterpillars that are two times 1.37 metres wide which results in a very low ground pressure from just 65 g/cm².
"Up to 500 m³ chips per day"
The woodchipper can process trees with a diameter of up to 50 centimetres. The feed opening is 92 cm wide and 50 cm high, so that even complete trees (including branches) can be chipped. The automatic chain feed ensures that the crane can continue working and the chipper does not stand idle for a minute. This makes it possible to process up to 500 m³ per day. Thanks to the built-in sieve plate, the chips are always of the desired quality; chips that are too big are automatically passed through the chipper again. The machine can be radio-controlled and the speed can be set from 0 to 17 km/h.
The wood crane with high tipper can transport up to 16 m³ of chips and tip it into containers. The maximum tipping height is 3 metres.
The swamp excavator can be equipped with a cutting head and a sawing head, a sorting grapple, a stump cutter and a brush cutter. For sufficient hydraulic capacity, a 100 HP power pack can be attached to the swamp excavator.
"Number of movements in the field reduced by up to 60%"
The biggest advantage of the combination of a wood crane with high tipper and woodchipper is that we can chip the wood on site. So we do not need to haul it to a processing site. We know from our personal experience that we can reduce the number of movements in the area by up to 60%.
